<isc:description><![CDATA[What is on demand manufacturing? Simply put it means we make 'em as we need 'em, and it is the catch phrase for a growing number of businesses involved in the production of goods these days.In the past, many businesses adhered to one of two models: 1) they would produce a product in bulk, store it, and distribute the inventory as sales were made. Or, 2) they would run a production line only after a sales quota had been met, as it was too costly to produce items one at a time. Many of you who are STILL waiting on your wedding gown to arrive are surely familiar with this method! At VeilShop.com we have found that it pays to manufacture goods as they are actually needed, rather than having idle inventory sitting on the shelves. We feel it is a much better model for our customers as well, as it allows us to customize our products to meet the needs of the individual bride and gives us an opportunity to change our styles to meet the trends. Fortunately, we've been around since 1999, so we've learned how to streamline production and ship most veils within 3 business days or less depending on the current volume of orders. So if you have a special request, please feel free to ask--we will do our best to accomodate you! Here is an example of a custom veil that we recently completed--this particular bride requested double-sided rhinestones all along the edge of the veil, spaced about 1 apart. No, that's not the bride--it's our trusted assistant, Judy, doing the modeling :) ]]></isc:description>
